About Spitzer Appraisal Services

In 2005, Ian Spitzer began Spitzer Appraisal Services in Harrisburg, PA. Since 1991 Mr. Spitzer has been involved in leasing, subleasing and investing in real estate including office, warehouse, and multi-family properties. He is certified as a General Real Estate Appraiser in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute in Chicago, IL and was the Chapter Secretary for the Appraisal Institute’s Central PA Chapter.

Mr. Spitzer earned a bachelor's degree in Fine Art, with a minor in English Literature from George Washington University, Columbia College, in Washington, DC in 1990, and a MBA in Finance, with a secondary concentration in Real Estate from Penn State University, Smeal College, in University Park, PA in 2002. He was elected by his peers as president of the MBA class. After completing his MBA, Mr. Spitzer began his career in real estate appraisal in 2002, as an assistant to Mr. Patrick Noone, MAI in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Ian Spitzer is involved within the community and is a partner with SciTech Center at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, actively providing internship opportunities to students at the university, while part of the business incubator located at SciTech Center. Mr. Spitzer has lectured on real estate appraisal and entrepreneurship for private organizations and for graduate and undergraduate classes at Pennsylvania State University.
